Wow, the summer has gone by fast!

We are exactly two months away from our reunion! You should go ahead and grab your tickets now...the price goes up soon! Go to our page at Great Reunions to buy your tickets by phone or email. (It also makes it a lot easier to plan the reunion if you buy your ticket now...then we know how many people to expect!)

The Madison is a swank bar/restuarant in downtown LB. There will be a second bar and subterranean dance floor below. A three-course dinner is included in the ticket price.

Cocktails, anyone?

Great Reunions asked me what kind of party dress we wanted. The options were casual, business casual, cocktail, semi-formal and formal. Since they wanted an answer right away, I chose cocktail dress.

Here is my reasoning: we are going to pay $70-$90 per person, so it would be weird just to wear our everyday clothes. This eliminated casual and business casual. I thought formal (tuxes) would be too much, so I was left with cocktail and semi-formal. I think cocktail dress is a little more flexible and fun, so I went with that. Let me know what you think... I could always call Great Reunions back.

For up to the minute information on the reunion, click on the Great Reunions link to the right of the text. They haven't nailed down a date or location yet, but I will keep you posted. We know that the reunion will include a three-course dinner, photo name badges with those great teenage photos, decorations, photo bio book with a classmate directory, a dj, a photographer, and staffing at the reunion to help us. Also, they will do all of the mailings to try to track all 800 of us down, and monthly radio announcements. I just sent them my '95 yearbook so that they can copy all of our photos. If anyone has a graduation announcement from 95 that they wouldn't mind lending to GR for a month, let me know.

Hi everyone,

Thanks to the over 20 people that responded on the blog and by email! The overwelming response was to have a semi-formal event, so that is what we are going to do!

The Millikan Activities Director (and several of you) suggested going with Great Reunions, a company that organizes reunions. The Class of 94 went with them, and they did a good job. I just spoke with them. They require at least 5 months to plan the reunion. So, our reunion will be on one of these days: October 22 (earliest date, preferred), November 5 or Nobvember 12. (They were unable to do the reunion on Thanksgiving weekend.) Stay tuned for more info. Please feel free to post comments, or send me an email!

Casual or Formal

What do you think? Should we go casual or formal for the reunion? Click on comments below to post your opinion! There are benefits and disadvantages to both...so we will go with the majority opinion! There is a cost difference between the two: casual picnic will be about $10 per person; formal dinner/dance will be about $90 per person.

Our Reunion!

Hi everyone!

I was not happy with classmates.com, so I decided it would be best to create our own blog for MHS C/O 1995! Please spread the word to our classmates!

Can you believe that it has been 10 years already! Yikes! I hope the last decade has been good to you.

I am thinking that we should have a casual 10 Year Reunion. I spoke with the Activities Director at Millikan, and if we have a formal reunion, the cost will be $90-$100 per person. I think this is too expensive....

What about having a picnic in El Dorado Park in October? Everyone could bring their families and food and hang out. What do you guys think?
